Vision 2020 – Will Our Collective Vision Be Restored?

When we look back in time some dates are symbolic of big changes in our collective perceptions such as the turn of the century when the entire developed world focused on Y2K or the year after when 9/11 literally changed the world in many ways that still affect us today. Now the year 2020 is here, it may end in a symbolic fashion but for now our collective vision is extremely blurry.

Ukraine is embroiled in another corruption scandal after several top officials were caught purchasing sports cars, mansions and luxury vacations as the rest of the country suffered in the war with Russia.

This comes the same day that the US and Germany agreed to send the country more tanks.

Zero Hedge reported:

The Ukrainian government on Tuesday confirmed the resignation of multiple high ranking officials amid large-scale corruption allegations, in what’s being called the biggest mass resignation and graft scandal since the Russian invasion began.

Some dozen officials have quit their posts after a huge political shake-up over allegations and probes into cases ranging from bribery, to mismanagement of aid funds for purchasing food, to embezzlement, to driving expensive cars while common people suffer under wartime conditions.

A top presidential adviser and four deputy ministers – among these two defense officials, along with five regional governors were forced out of their posts. And among the regional governors to step down included officials overseeing regions which have seen intense fighting, including the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, where Russian forces have lately reported gains.

In reference to the announcement by a senior government official, Oleg Nemchinov, international reports detail the following list:

  • Deputy Prosecutor General Oleskiy Symonenko
  • Deputy Minister for Development of Communities and Territories Ivan Lukeryu
  • Deputy Minister for Development of Communities and Territories Vyacheslav Negoda
  • Deputy Minister for Social Policy Vitaliy Muzychenk
  • And the regional governors of Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Sumy and Kherson

And separately, “the defense ministry had earlier announced the resignation of deputy minister Vyacheslav Shapovalov, who was in charge of the army’s logistical support, on the heels of accusations it was signing food contracts at inflated prices.”

Gay couple charged with molesting their adopted sons also pimped them out to pedophile ring, report claims

Zachary Zulock and his husband William Dale Zulock Jr. have were indicted on charges of of incest, aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation, felony sexual exploitation of children and felony prostitution of a minor.

A gay couple from Georgia charged with molesting their two adopted sons and using them to record child porn also allegedly pimped them out to members of a local pedophile ring, according to a disturbing new report.

A months-long investigation by Townhall revealed that William Dale Zulock, 33, and Zachary Jacoby Zulock, 35, allegedly used social media to prostitute their two elementary-aged sons.

William Zulock, a government worker, and Zachary Zulock, a banker, were indicted in August 2022 on charges of incest, aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation, felony sexual exploitation of children and felony prostitution of a minor.

But the shocking investigation reveals in more detail the sickening abuse the boys suffered.

For the first time, it was revealed that the men allegedly pimped out their older sons, now 11 and 9 years old, to two other men in a pedophile ring.

One of the men, Hunter Clay Lawless, 27, told investigators that Zachary — whose Instagram bio describes him as “Papa to our two wonderful boys” and an “activist” — invited him “multiple times” to take part in sexually abusing the boys, Townhall reported

However, Lawless claimed he never had physical contact with either child.

Lawless also claimed Zachary sent him multiple messages on Snapchat, including one that allegedly read, “I’m going to f— my son tonight. Stand by,” along with images of himself sexually abusing the 11-year-old, according to the outlet.

The two men were arrested on charges of soliciting an act of prostitution with the 11-year-old boy, according to the indictment. It’s unclear whether Lawless and Armando Vizcarro-Sanchez had any physical interactions with the boys.

The Zulocks — who lived in Oxford, an affluent suburb of Atlanta — adopted the children from a Christian special-needs adoption agency. The boys were in the third and fourth grades when their adoptive fathers were arrested last summer.

Deputies responding to reports that a man was downloading child porn raided the home in Loganville, where they found evidence the pair “were engaging in sexually abusive acts and video documenting this abuse,” police said at the time.

During the raid, William was pulled out of his home naked.

The government worker has admitted to forcing one of his sons to perform oral sex on him “with the intent to satisfy his own … sexual desire,” according to a sworn affidavit cited by the Daily Wire.

The Georgia couple has been accused of pimping out their adopted sons to a pedophile ring.

‘My wife of four years is in this hotel right now, and she don’t have a clue that I’m out here.’

‘The thing is, she’s been on OnlyFans for a while now. I didn’t know. I had no clue that this is what she was doing,’ he continues.

The man proceeds to out his wife in the video as a cheater who is planning to meet up with a man she believes is not her husband

HARRY INTERVIEW RECAP: Duke of Sussex accused of mentioning Taliban kills so he could ask for extra security as book and interviews reaction continues

The Duke of Sussex has said he was willing to risk being taken prisoner in Afghanistan to carry out his first Apache helicopter mission.

Harry, writing in his memoir Spare, said he had been prepared to ignore a ‘land now’ warning light in his helicopter cockpit which meant an operation during his second frontline tour in 2012 had to be abandoned.

The duke said a more experienced flier turned them back to Camp Bastion in Helmand province, leaving Harry feeling cheated.

‘I wanted to go, go, go. I was willing to risk crashing, being taken prisoner – whatever,” he said.

Harry’s admission in his book that he killed 25 Taliban members during the war in Afghanistan sparked protests in Helmand over the weekend and criticism from former military figures.

He has written in depth about his military experience overseas, describing how he narrowly escaped being hit by a huge explosion during his first stint in the country in 2007-08.

‘I felt it in my brain. I looked around. Everyone was on their stomachs,’ he said.

He recalled one of his comrades whispering again and again: ‘F*** me, that was close.’

On his second tour, for which he retrained as an Apache helicopter pilot, the duke recalled: ‘I was the first in my squadron to pull the trigger in anger.’

In a military context, to ‘fire in anger’ means to shoot for a purpose in war.

Harry said he had killed before but it was “my most direct contact with the enemy ever” as he targeted Taliban fighters riding motorbikes.

Hackers are using device monitoring software Cacti to install malware

Hackers are utilizing a known vulnerability in device monitoring tool Cacti to install all sorts of malware on vulnerable endpoints, researchers have claimed.

Cybersecurity researchers from The Shadowserver Foundation spotted multiple attempts at delivering various malware via the critical command injection vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2022-46169.

By abusing the flaw, which has a severity rating of 9.8 (critical), threat actors were observed deploying Mirai malware, as well as IRC botnet. Some threat actors were seen simply checking for the vulnerability, possibly in preparation for future attacks.

Thousands of unpatched instances

Mirai is a malware that mostly targets smart home devices running Linux, such as IP cameras and home routers, and assimilates them into the Mirai botnet. The botnet can later be used for Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, which can disrupt operations and shut websites down.

The IRC botnet was seen opening a reverse shell on the host and having it scan the endpoint’s ports.

In total, roughly 10 exploitation attempts were seen in the last week.

A Censys report claims there are more than 6,000 unpatched Cacti instances reachable over the internet, while adding that more than 1,600 are unpatched and thus vulnerable.

Biden condemns thousands of Bolsonaro supporters who STORMED Brazil’s Congress in Brasilia

United States President Joe Biden condemned the protests and voiced support for President Inácio da Silva

Supporters of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro have stormed the National Congress building in Brasilia  – in a move similar to Trump Voters’ January 6 invasion.

‘I condemn the assault on democracy’: Biden slams thousands of Bolsonaro supporters who STORMED Brazil’s Congress in Brasilia in January 6th-style attack – after refusing to accept new President Lula’s victory in ‘stolen’ election

United States President Joe Biden condemned demonstrators who stormed Brazil’s capital in protest of the nation’s presidential election results, calling the incident an ‘assault on democracy.’

In a Tweet on Sunday, Biden said supporters of Brazil’s former president Jair Bolsonaro were attacking the peaceful transfer of power in the nation, and cast his support behind newly elected President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

‘I condemn the assault on democracy and on the peaceful transfer of power in Brazil,’ Biden wrote. ‘Brazil’s democratic institutions have our full support and the will of the Brazilian people must not be undermined. I look forward to continuing to work with @lulaoficial.’

The supporters of far-right ex-President Bolsonaro invaded Brazil’s National Congress building, the Supreme Court, presidential palace and called for the military to overthrow President da Silva after Bolsonaro questioned the integrity of the election.

President da Silva has branded protestors who stormed Congress as ‘vandals and fascists’ – while the startling images from the day looked eerily similar to Trump supporters’ insurrection at the US capital, which happened nearly to the day two years ago.

SECOND surgery and is in intensive care with ‘blunt chest trauma and orthepedic injuries’ – after he ran over his own leg with a snowcat at his Lake Tahoe ranch

Marvel actor Jeremy Renner is in intensive care and will undergo a second surgery as doctors tackle his ‘extensive injuries’ following an accident involving a snow plow.

The star suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries after the snowcat he was using to plow his driveway ran him over.

Renner, 51, underwent his first surgery earlier on Monday today as part of an extensive recovery process but it has now been revealed that the superhero star will require further operations on what will be a long road to recovery.

A statement from his family stated how they were grateful to the ‘incredible doctors and nurses looking after him.

‘They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans,’ the statement added.

The Hawkeye actor was airlifted to hospital on Sunday morning following the accident.

Renner, a two-time Oscar nominee, was alone and trying to clear a path out of his Lake Tahoe home with his PistenBully, a type of snow groomer made by the German manufacturer Kassbohrer.

The vehicle’s safety features failed and caused it to roll over Renner’s leg, around a quarter mile from the property TMZ reported.

Giant aquarium bursts in Germany, killing 1,500 tropical fish and spilling 1 million litres of water

A huge aquarium in Berlin that was home to around 1,500 exotic fish has burst, spilling 1 million litres of water and debris onto a major road in the busy Mitte district, emergency services said.

Around 100 emergency responders rushed to the site, a leisure complex that houses a Radisson hotel and a museum as well as what Sea Life Berlin said was the world’s largest freestanding cylindrical aquarium at 14 metres in height.

“It felt like an earthquake” said Naz Masraff, who was staying at the hotel when the aquarium burst on Friday.

Another hotel guest, Sandra Weeser, spoke of chaos.

“The whole aquarium burst and what’s left is total devastation. Lots of dead fish, debris,” she said.

Two people were injured by splinters of glass, and emergency services asked around 350 hotel guests to pack their belongings and leave amid concerns that there could be structural damage.

Snow falls and ice and frost form on Mars, too. NASA’s spacecraft on and orbiting the Red Planet reveal the similarities to and differences from how we experience winter on Earth.

Mars scientist Sylvain Piqueux of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory explains how images and data collected from NASA’s Viking, Phoenix, Mars Odyssey, Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter missions can help scientists better understand the processes behind a winter on Mars. On the Red Planet, where both carbon dioxide and water can take the form of ice and frost, scientists study these frosty landscapes and unusual formations to understand the climate of Mars today and in its past. Analyzing the ice on Mars will also help future human missions.

The Morning After: Elon Musk now owns Twitter

And Twitter’s CEO is out.

After a months-long legal battle that has engulfed Twitter since Elon Musk first offered to buy the company for $44 billion in April, the deal is done, and Musk is already ringing in the changes. Musk, who has criticized Twitter’s leadership, fired CEO Parag Agrawal and Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal, as well as several more top executives. He’s also likely to let more staff go, though he has told employees the cuts won’t be as high as 75 percent.
