What we know
Leavitt says shes ready for the next chapter: "I look forward to bringing my unique perspective from my experience as White House press secretary, along with the same energy and candor that defined my tenure, to Foxs millions of viewers across their many platforms." Leavitt stepped down from the White House in August after making history as the youngest press secretary, saying she wanted to devote more time to her two young children. Read more about Leavitts move to Fox News and when viewers will start seeing her on air: https://t.co/bnfrsfmra7 President Trump in August announced that Karoline Leavitt will be departing her role as White House Press Secretary to spend more time with her young children. Karoline Leavitt was the youngest person to hold the position as White House Press Secretary. She was just 27 years old last year when she took on the role.
She gave birth to her second child, a daughter, in May. “Being a mother and welcoming a new baby while working in one of the most demanding jobs in the world has been the most rewarding yet challenging season of my life, to say the least,” Leavitt previously said. “The truth is since returning to the White House after the birth of my daughter, I have felt in my heart that I cannot be the best mom my two young children deserve while devoting the constant time, energy, and attention required of the White House Press Secretary — and that is why I have ultimately made the bittersweet decision to depart the White House and embark on a new chapter in my life,” Leavitt said in August. “President Trump has asked me to continue serving as a top advisor to him on the outside, and I will always remain a vocal advocate for MAGA and the Republican Party,” she said.
