Harvest moon set to brighten the weekend sky across Canada

The harvest moon is set to provide a bright seasonal show, offering an accessible skywatching event across much of Canada where weather cooperates. The name is traditionally associated with the full moon nearest the autumn equinox.

No special equipment is required. A darker viewing location away from strong city lights can make the surrounding night sky more dramatic, but the moon itself will be visible from urban areas as well.
