Harvest moon gives Canadians an easy reason to look up

The harvest moon offers one of the simplest skywatching events of the season: a bright full moon visible without a telescope or special equipment. Its traditional name is associated with the full moon nearest the autumn equinox.

A darker location can reveal more of the surrounding sky, but the moon itself remains an accessible sight even from cities. As always, local cloud cover will decide how good the view is.
