B.C. election opens with Conservatives ahead in new polling

British Columbia’s snap election campaign is beginning with new polling that places the Conservatives ahead of the NDP. Early campaign polls are snapshots rather than results, but they can shape momentum, fundraising and the issues parties choose to emphasize.

The more useful question for voters is whether that lead holds once the campaign turns to affordability, housing, health care, public safety and the records of the competing parties.
