Michigan State Police released bodycam footage of an incident involving Michigan Democratic state Rep. Jewell Jones. In this video shows Jones resisting arrest and became combative. Jones can be heard reminded the officers that he had oversight of their budget and threatened to call Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
“I don’t give a f— bro, when I call Gretchen [Whitemer] I’ll (sic) need y’all (sic) ID’s badge numbers everything,” Jones says in the footage.
“It’s not going to be good for you, I’m telling you. I run y’alls budget, bro,” he told a trooper.
Jones’ blood-alcohol level was twice the legal limit, and the Law enforcement discovered a gun in the glove compartment of his vehicle.
Jones is charged with OWI w/high BAC (0.19), OWI, possession of a .40-caliber semiautomatic Glock while under influence, reckless driving; and four counts of resisting police.
