Ottawa Senators has been Eliminated by Pittsburgh Penguins in Double-OT

Chris Kunitz’s double-OT winning goal in the second period of overtime gave the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins a 3-2 victory and eliminated Ottawa Senators.

“It’s really tough,” said coach Guy Boucher. “I think it’s beyond pride to be honest with you. It’s a lot more beyond hockey this year. I wish I could have done something more to help them.”

Matt Murray made 27 saves for Pittsburgh. Anderson made 39 for Ottawa.

The defending champion Penguins will play the Nashville Predators in the Cup Final with Game 1 at PPG Paints Arena on Monday.
