Montreal Canadiens Scored Twice in the Third Period, Alexander Radulov Scored Spectacularly with One-Handed Dagger

Artturi Lehkonen and Shea Weber scored power-play goals. Artturi Lehkonen gave the Montreal Canadiens a 1-0 lead when he scored on a power play at 17:37 of the second period to the top corner on Henrik Lundqvist’s glove side. Shea Weber scored a power-play goal at 7:42 while Mats Zuccarello was sent to the penalty box for a double minor.

In even-strength, Alexander Radulov added a spectacular one-handed dagger goal in the third period. Philip Danault dropped the puck into the middle and Alexander Radulov picked it up, then proceeded to stickhandle, deke and shoot with only his right hand on his stick. Alexander Radulov had a goal and an assist to help the Montreal Canadiens to a 3-1 against the New York Rangers in Game 3.

Montreal Canadiens Head Coach Claude Julien was happy with the result of his team’s efforts. “I thought it was a really good road game. It wasn’t mistake-free and no games are,” said Coach Claude Julien.

Montreal Canadiens lead the best-of-seven set 2-1. Game 4 is on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.
